The Thinker Approach
Channeling our expertise and experience of working on OTT platforms into the project, our team was agile in understanding the vision and requirements through a stakeholder workshop. This helped us align with the leadership at Zee effortlessly.
User needs were then studied followed by an extensive competitor analysis to thoroughly understand the gaps in the market scenario and how Zee could close them.

Since the OTT environment was envisioned to be delivered across platforms, we realized it would be essential to create a single workflow that adheres to different platform guidelines to maintain cross-platform consistency. This was, hence, our primary focus.

Comprehensive TV Guide
- In order to design live TV and accommodate varying interactions, a different approach was adopted compared to the web and mobile interfaces.
- Clear distinction and understanding of the optimal layout and structure enabled us to make key focus elements easy to access for viewers, improving customer satisfaction.

Personalized Profiles
Users can now store an array of content under several categories such as watchlists, favorites, followed shows, and more which can be accessed easily through a profile dropdown. Setting show reminders is now also a part of profile personalization.

Enhanced Browsing System
Browsing was made relevant for the users by weaving content through the platform efficiently. Filters for videos were integrated based on the time interval of content to be streamed. Navigation through the platform was enhanced to improve user experience.

Multi-Platform TV
Zee5, the entertainment collective, was designed to delight across four user platforms—iOS, Android, Android TV, and responsive web application. The same was contextualized to ensure a relevant and cohesive brand and user experience.

Design Neutrality
As an over-the-top output personal application, efforts were made to cater to all kinds of content; in a design-neutral way to maintain consistency across extreme use cases of both western and Indian audiences.
